Lisa Caplan’s art portfolio includes a range of work. Caplan holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Painting, from Boston University College for the Arts. Here, the artist continued to develop her practice in figurative drawing, sculpture and painting directly from life.

After finishing at BU, Caplan devoted 12 years to painting, art-making and a meditation practice with an emphasis on visualization techniques along with the concept of color as energy vibration. Lisa’s affinity for adventure, travel, ecology, skiing and scuba diving inspires her creative process.

An exploration of unconventional materials and collaboration, along with the desire to produce site-specific immersive work led the artist to seek a broader expression of creativity, placemaking and a reverence for the natural world.

Caplan earned a Master in Landscape Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design; and is a Registered Landscape Architect (PLA) in the state of Colorado.

Lisa currently lives and works in The Cayman Islands as Design Manager Landscape Architecture.
